Around and About Claypole

Claypole is a Lincolnshire village of around 1000 residents situated between Newark Upon Trent and Grantham. It was first recorded in the Domesday book in 1086.  It's not far from the A1 and also has excellent rail links to London and the North from Newark and Grantham. The nearest airport is East Midlands which is about 45 - 60 minutes drive away. It is a thriving village in an agricultural area which offers plenty of peaceful rural walks amongst abundant hedgerows teeming with wildlife.

Claypole also has an excellent well performing Primary School, 2 Pubs offering traditional country bars, restaurants and B&B facilities. We also have a local convenience store, a hairdresser, a 'Pet Hotel' and a beautiful and ancient church - St Peters.
